Standing Committees |
||
- This committee shall be responsible for the financial accountability of the Chapter.
- The committee shall develop and manage the operation of the annual budget and promote the fundraising drive for the Chapter.
- They shall disseminate copies of the approved budget to the members no later than a date specified by the Executive Committee.
- Make recommendations for solving the financial problems of the Chapter.
Communications and Public Relations
- This committee shall be responsible for communicating the policies and activities of this Chapter which affects the public image of the organization thru local and national media channels.
- It is responsible for the content of newsletters, press releases, news flashes, and any other communications that affects the public image of the organization.
- The committee shall be responsible for the development and printing of all published documents of the Chapter.
- It is responsible for all contacts with the media (TV, newspapers, radio, etc.).
- The primary purpose of this committee is to assure public exposure of the Chapter as approved by the Executive Committee and/or general membership.
- All public statements shall be in accordance with National policies.
Evaluation and Chapter's By-Laws
- The committee shall be responsible for providing a yearly evaluation of Chapter activities relative to the progress in the attainment of goals and objectives of the organization.
- Ensure that the By-Laws conform with and have no conflict with the constitution and By-Laws of Region XI and the National Organization.
- Review amendments to the Chapter's By-Laws and report recommendations to the Executive Committee.
- Review the Chapter's By-Laws and when necessary, print and distribute to all active members.
- Assist the Parliamentarian in all duties assigned.
- This committee shall keep the local body informed of legislative/legal actions which directly impact on the goals and objectives of the organization.
- The committee shall provide input to elected officials as deemed necessary.
- This committee shall be responsible for developing and implementing programs for the membership drives in recruiting members.
- Maintain an up-to-date roster of all members.
- Receive applications and maintain members of the Chapter.
- This committee shall be responsible for development and implementation of the necessary programs and requirements to fulfill the purpose and objective of the Chapter.
- It is responsible for training assistance in those areas critical to the well-being of black government employees.
- Programs pursued by this committee must be approved by the Executive Committee and/or general membership and certified feasible by the Budget and Finance Committee.
- It is also responsible for planning and establishing an annual program for the Chapter.
